three on da tree to the floor?

hey everyone. been on this site for years but never had any questions deep enough for a post but I have jumped into the mystery world of the flathead. i just sold my 327 sbc and bought a 1950 mercury flatheadd with trans for my 28 coupe. its all a pile of parts right now. first question: how do I get the shifter to the floor with this tranny? Is it possible without changing trans? any help or steer me toward the post or tech arch that will help. thanks and I'm sure there will be tons more questions.

 

Hurst,Fenton,Ansen,Foxcraft all made conversion kits.. Which transmission is bolted up to your motor ?

 

I have a floorshift that the guy I got it from said came out of a 51 Ford coupe. If you think it will work PM me with your email address and I will send you pics. I am into it for $50 including shipping.

 

not sure of the trans. i can only guess stock for a 50 merc.

 

Does it have the circular bell built in ?
