So I have a 54 customline sedan that I'm workin on and I really need some help. It was a father/son project that I was doin with my pops. He just recently had a stroke and can no longer help me. I have a 292 that Im gonna put in it, but I wanna use the stock manual trans. I believe its a three speed. Well I bought a three speed, only I dont have a bellhousing or shift linkages. I was wondering if there is anyone out there who can help me find the parts I need. Or give me your opinions about going to a 4 speed in the floor. Thanks for your time.

Ran across this last night,go to ebay put this in search: 290343205200 no bids yet($40) I sold one 6 months ago for $125 w/flywheel.The universal floor shifts like Spectre work OK with the old Fords.

I see from your photos that you have the shift linkage parts which attach to the column, so it must be the lower rods you need. I just removed the shift linkage rods from my '52 Victoria. Don't have the transmission shift levers, though. If somebody can confirm the rods will work on your '54, you can have 'em for the cost of shipping. Let me know. Eric
