Ok, we've been doing this for almost a month now. What do you guys think of the new version? Still hate it? Love it? What would you like to see in the future... Here is one already on the table: Let me have it...
One thing I miss is the threads that I was following being a different color than the ones that didn't interest me. The auto quoting in PM's kinda bugs me too!

Well, I'll start off with what I do like. I do like the intros on a seperate forum. I DO like being able to choose whether the sender of the PM I just read gets a read receipt. I don't care for thumbnails. Also, I miss that feature on the old HAMB where you could hit "URL" and then paste the address of a link, then you were able to name it whatever you wanted. I don't know the formal name of the feature, I just know I liked and used it alot. Another thing I just realized was there is a limit to the number of images in one post, even when you use a photo hosting site. The old HAMB didn't have a limit when you used another site to host the photos.
I agree with HRTH about the color of the threads i miss too. Everything else seems good and i'm sure you will get good input here to change something in the future.
1. I used to like how the old setup illustrated when you've got a new PM, whereas now I need to regularly look to 'check-up' (or os there a 'setup' function I need to ammend?) 2. Overall, I think it's great, as previously mentioned the format is attractive, userfriendly, and simple, but still offering alot of options should you(the end user) choose to pursue them. 3. I'm still glad that you've created a 'intro' sub section. 4. I like that you've allowed more images/post, espcially the smaller 'preview' feature Cheers, Drewfus
I like it! I like the newbie forum being separate. I do miss the differentiating colors though. And, I do like the thumbnails because I have dialup - and they load *So* much faster.
I like it! It would be kinda cool if we could search people by what state they are in. Might be good for planning HAMB get-togethers and stuff.
two (3?) very minor things, the old format was easier to pick out the post authors, I miss that. the old forum showed how many responses there were since last viewed, I miss that too. and yeah, the new smilies don't portray how I really feel inside.. overall though? a marked improvement, increased speed being the most noticeable Paul
Its been working well for me with the exception (and its probably just me) of locating sent mail and what I what I wrote in response to someone. I lie so much it getting hard to keep track of what I said. All kidding aside if its something I'm not doing right can someone PM me and help me out. Relatively computer illiterate, joeycarpunk
I like nearly everything about it. It would be nice to have the different color for threads that have been read and the read receipt for PM's set up like before.
I like the thumbnails for the pics. It's easier to post pics than before. I also liked the user's control panel. I was able to go back and delete alot of picture attachments. Those attachments were for posts over 6 months ago. Some people have mentioned the loss of color for differentiating read and unread posts. I get a bolder/thicker text on my screen to show that. Works good for me. I used the annoying poster, turn off option and it's great. The only thing on my wish list is recalling old pics. For example, I have already loaded a picture to the HAMB server a month ago. Now I want to use that picture again for another post. I can put in the Hyper text link to the pic on the HAMB server, but I can't post the thumbnail. All in all visiting the HAMB has become very efficient. The sneak peak look at what's inside a post is an example.
I agree on the smileys. Sometimes people don't know when I'm being funny or being a ****. I would like to keep that line defined. Overall the new format kicks some major ***! One request (which might get a standing ovation) Can we get spell check please??? I also dig the fact that we don't have to preview a post before we send it. Satan, my computer, is ancient and on dial-up. He's tempermental and slow. Having one less page to load helps a bunch! Thanks for the improvement!!! Mike

Mostly killer. In the old forum I liked how it showed how many responses there were since a thread was last viewed. And what was new since the last visit was bold. I'd love spell check, I always find myself going back to edit my posts because I've tried to type too fast. I liked the old way of searching where it took you to the actual post not just the whole thread. Those are all really minor, but the thing I HATE is that annoying box that pops up after I send a PM to ask if I want a receipt. Can I just say once that I don't ever want one? I don't see the point of ever wanting one unless I'm trying to catch smeone in a lie or something. Anyway, if nothing changed from what it is, it would still be very cool. Now come and get your dinner you fat lard, geez! IDIOTS! Oh, I'm tired of being "Mr. ****". Why aren't the girls Seniorita Members? Thanks Ryan.

I think the new setup is great. The wysisyg post editor is really cool. I'm still having issues with the right margin disintegrating when there is a large image posted... If I reload the page, it corrects itself. The only thing I'd change; ixnay on the thumbnails. I don't use dialup, so speed isn't an issue. I've noticed that many of the thumbnails, when clicked on, don't get that much bigger. And, if I don't open the thumbs in a new tab, it takes quite a long time to go back to the original post with the back ****on. I read the hamb because of all of the great pics, and like to spin through a post and see all the pics without the extra step of clicking each image to see what is there, only to find a slightly larger version. I didn't read all of thses so I apologize in advance for being lazy. I liked the other buddy list better for pm'ing etc. I may not know how to work it, though. I like the fact that this one instantly hyperlinks addresses. I don't like the PM read deal. It's a pain.
I like the old version where if your were leaving the HAMB you could start a new thread saying something like "I'm outta here" or "I'm leaving" or "I Quit!"... O wait, I guess that you can do that on the new version.. I just haven't seen one of those posts in a while. Guess I'm living too much in '82... The old version seemed to have more ******.... Can we please get a smiley icon with a big **** so that I can experss my emotions? That's pretty much it.... hc
