I dig the fact that i can preview each topic by mousing over it. that saves a lot of time and lets me figure out what the topics with vague ***les are really about. i dont like some ofthe fonts and gay colors ppl use sometimes but thats not the HAMB's fault.

It rules, I've forgotten the old one, I'm happy.

    I love you Ryan.

  3. I also miss the thing where you could tell what someone else was doing... ie, if I am PM'ing Fat Hack ,and click on Fat Hack, it'd tell where he was. So if he sat in "viewing Hokey *** Message Board" for 3 hours, I'd know he was logged in, but inactive.

Trivial, but helpful. Otherwise, AOK in my book!

    I dig it.

Mouse over and thumbnails are good. Saves time. I can do a quick scan and decide if I want to dig deeper.

I like the intros elsewhere too. I don't have to waste my time looking at them and the ***s who are looking for a date have their own board :D

Sweetheart, look at that little black box with the V in it located right at the begining of the ***le of a thread. It will take you to the last post that you viewed in that thread.:D

  7. What happend to the techomatic i was lookig for some stuff and its been deleted or just not there anymore ???the private message is a h***le !!and it seems alot duller with the thumbnails it was much more exciteing with the big pictures

I like it! Some of the suggestions would be....

    no auto quoting
    i like the thumbnails
don't like the pop up window for receipts
those different colors would be nice for messages
it telling me how many posts since last viewed would be nice too

    Keep up the good work........

I like the new board, I think its great.

    But, since you asked:
    A) A spell check would be great for those of us that have no idea how to spell.
    B) The PM deal is a pita or I don't know how to use it...
    C) I like the thumbnails cause I'm too cheap to buy anything other then dial up. but an easy way to size all the pic the same, so when we click on them for a better view, it would be nice to actually get a better view.
    D) The number of posts since I last viewed a tread would be nice too.
    E) Is there a way to put pictures already downloaded on the board into another post with having to re-download them? Never claimed to be smart.
    F) The small gray print on the gray background is hard for my old eyes to read (and I aint even old yet), don't care what the college professors said.

If nothing changed, I still like this much better then the old board. Thank you for all your hard work. Gene

It's all good. I like the mouseover, thumbs, User CP, PMs and subscribed thread thingy.

Oh yeah - the separate newbie intro/dating service is cool, too. That in combination with the mouseover makes it feel more techy 'cause its easier to ignore dumb stuff.

The only thing I miss is the posts-since-last-visit feature and the imperial-****load-of-posts-per-page setting.

Or you could just call it done and I'd be fine with that, too.

  13. I can get used to anything and like change, get bored with the "same 'ol same 'ol"...so I like it. Great job, your tremendous expenditure of time and effort is appreciated by all I'm sure.

Well , I haven't been logging in as much since the change. I really liked the old setup. Simple , easy to use and not alot of FLUFF. Kinda like our cars . Now it looks like every other board. It's still the BEST place for real rods and customs and getting help fast with a problem on yer car.

I still love it! Thanks Ryan.

The only concern I do have is what time zone is this hosted in? It seems like it's always 10 hours off. I really woulnd't worry but I don't think that there is that much of a difference between IL and OK. Maybe its just me. I can't ever imagine not knowing about the HAMB. Thank you Ryan.

Well, if said already, chaulk it up as another vote. Color on the topics with new posts, the easy way the old one showed new posts in a thread, and sent you to the first new post in it too. And the easy click on codes when writing posts. (note my color)

  19. Great job with the site, Ryan!

I'm really enjoying this version. I really like the thumbnails and the ease of uploading the pics. It still irks me though that some pic posters still upload ridiculously huge photos, as neat as the pic may be or the post, it ****s.

I have to say I like the old Buddy List system, it was cooler or I still haven't fully understood the new one.

I really like the User CP, that is cool. Thanks for the site and the opportunity for this input.

    Joel ;)

  20. Last I checked it was still the HAMB.

Thats pleanty good enough for me :D

    Thanks Ryan

    Love the Pm setup.
    Hate the read receipt ********.
Love 95% of the hamb changes. PJ

I miss not being able to repost the same pic twice on the board.

  22. I like it , only things i slightly don't have been already addressed , quotes in the posts ,different colors and hard to keep up on the Pm's in several ways ,seems many of my out going pm's are not marked as read, seems the read receipt thing is a pain for some or not working, the return receipt thing is kind of a pain unless i ask for it(rarely) , other than that , I love the thumbnails , much faster loading for my geriatric dialup

The majority about it I like! Easy to work with. Although I'm still getting that blank white box at the top right on a Mac OSX (Safari 1.2.4). Also the image size on the avatar limits are too small, but who cares about that anyway. I do like the fact that you can mouse over and read the subject message and have the choice to read the entire post or not. All in all it's better than the old HAMB, thanks Ryan!

    my 2 cents.

    It has grown on me.

One thing I've had happen is if I click on the small black arrow box that is on th emain message page, sometimes(usually) it doesn't take me to my last viewed message in that particular thread.

I did like the way the old threads showed how many posts since last viewed.

The thread ***le doesn't seem to always change from bold text to normal text after I've viewed the thread.

    Excellent new format tho.

I think it's very sweet how the HAMB sends you an e-mail when its your birthday. :p

It all looks pretty good to me....anything I'd change would be too minute too be worth changing.

Heh. I was just getting ready to say I've gotten used to the grey text.
I was one of the ones complaining about it a few weeks ago.

I'm still having trouble jumping straight to the unread posts in a thread though. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.
