Hey Phil. The aircleaners are real deal Edmunds oil bath from a local swapmeet. The guy just threw them in with some other "junk". They were originally for a smaller carb so I had to adapt them using the bottoms of some newer aircleaners that I had. They are being reproduced now but are high buck.

Triva question. Who beat out Barbra Smith to become Miss Littlerock back in the day?

  2. Eileen Blazic?? Her pop owned the Littlerock Lumber yard?

Who sells the Edmunds repop aircleaners. They're just right for my Edmunds 2 pot manifold.

I know that Hot Rod and Custom Supply has them but I don't recommend them because of the fake Isky lifters I got from them that almost ruined my engine. I'm sure there's another outfit that sells them but I don't remember who they are.

No, it wasn't Eileen. Hint: Initials C. B.

  5. Thanx for the warning about HR&CS. I prefer to do business with honorable folks. It helps knowing they're being repopped.

It's been a few years, Rich. C.B.??? Bobbie Smith always had MY vote.

  6. Smooth.
That exhaust is as slick as it comes. Where on earth did you find those pieces?

  7. Now THAT'S putting a flattie to good use!! Look's great, man!

The manifolds are stock '41 Ford. The left one has been cut into three pieces and the outlet rotated so it points outboard instead of down, (right into the steering box). Cut with bandsaw, mock up on block, weld with AC Ni-rod, fill pinholes with brass. The right one is totally stock. The rest of the system is a lakes pipes kit from Speedway using only the pipes, not the flange, and a couple of Smithy's underneath between the frame rails. There were a couple extra "bends" needed that came from J.C. Whitney. The left and right sides are routed differently from each other; adds a little interest I think. All of the system was done at home with a gas welder while cleaning the garage floor with my back, up and down, up and down. (Kills two birds with one stone.) :D Thanks for your interest.

Thanks for the nice words. I'm was actually born in East LA, but I got to Texas (Wichita County) as soon as I could. It's a very long and lurid story. ;)

Nice work....I see miles of smiles in your future. But hey, no wonder I couldnt find a cheap kick drum pedal on ebay for my drums!! On second thought, I may have to part out my Tama "Iron Cobra" kick pedal, that sounds cool for my roadster!

.........I agree 100%! (for what MY opinion is worth) Not built to look like a rolling junkyard OR a trailer Queen. Nice, clean TRADITIONAL hot rod........well done.;)

Phil. I found the other place that has the Edmunds air cleaners. It's Sacramento Vintage Ford. www.vintageford.com They also have the Helmets, the Scoops, the Finned Aluminum, the Stacks, and the traditional ones. I've had several dealings with them and they are top notch. Talk to Jerry. She's a trip. :D

Trivia hint: The C stands for Charlene. She's had my vote since 7th grade!
