High pressure gas drives a two stage axial high pressure turbine, which in turn drives the compressor, and the accessory gearbox through a perpendicular shaft at the front of the engine. The gas producer section of the engine is a mechanically separate module from the power turbine section. The power turbine can be completely removed from the engine, and the engine will still function as a gas producer.

Its designed as a Turbine.

As a Turbine it produces horsepower.

He is running it as a Gas producer, a fat guy could probably shake that Bug more than that Engine...

I guess he couldnt hook it up so it would drive the Wheels because that was more difficult, and he just couldn't get his brain around it.

Or maybe the budget didnt allow for att the Jewler Files it would have took to make the extra holes...

If it actually worked to drive the car, it would be OK. Since it's just cosmetic, I'll lump it in with Olds valve covers for SBCs.
