From what I see on my car it looks like I will have to take the part off that hooks to my gas pedal to the throttle cable because it wont fit between the engine and firewall. How did you guys do yours when you installed a 302 w/ standard transmission?

On my 54& 55 I used a 79-86 Chevy van gas paddle ***embly which is cable operated to carb. Base mounts to fire wall.

I've also used the cable type gas pedal and they work slick. The last one I used was from a 71 ford LTD. They will come with the pedal and mount and then the cable mounts to the firewall and has a built in return spring. The cable has a ball type snap that snaps right onto the carb. Very clean setup and very simple to install!!!

Thanks Guys I appreciate it I will have to look for some LTD's or Chevy Vans and see which will be the easiest to install, Your right Jason looks like I gotta make a run to a you pull it! I needs a set of bucket seats too so maybe I can find a set that'll work in mine. I will be ready to get you to help me figure out how to get this clutch z-bar to work with this transmission here pretty soon. Did you ever get that measurement on the motor mount holes you were going to get for me? I plan to try and set the motor in tomorrow or monday. thanks

If you find an LTD check out the front discs, I used them from a 72 LTD on my 56. You will have to use the LTD wheels also as the hub is bigger than the 56 hub.
