   anybody ever put a thumper cam (smallest) in a stock 305......trying to use some old stuff in a rat rod....... thanks, charlie.........

   Becareful of too much overlap. Stock 305s have really low compression and a bunch of overlap will kill even that. It will sound awesome in the garage but will fall on its face over 3500 rpms with a load.....I speak from experience.
