I can imagine! I really wanted it to look like it belongs there... here's a shot from the backside before I cleaned it up to see just how much was moved around...

Thanks Mark, it's getting there. First drive before christmas! Yep, bonneville bound! No kidding, there's gonna be one long East Coast caravan out there this year! Two club brothers and I are shooting to drive out, turkeyjerk in his steel 22 T roadster and kwmpa in his 36 3 window.

Wow man, I owe you an apology. You talked with me a while back on a chrome 97 to match the other one you have on your Weiand. If you will send me your addy via PM I will gladly trade the unplated top and bowl you have for a nice 50's plated top and bowl. Then, you will have no excuse to "get er' done".

  12. thats cooler than hell. i cant wait to see how it turns out. the plans for finishing it are to cool.

Haha, thanks Phil! Forget that slow down nonsense, I'm gonna do some ice racing this winter!!:D

That could be arranged... Talk to me in about 12 months when I start getting my "need a new hot rod" twitch, hehe...

I love the little details...body line kickup...dash ends...very well done.. Did you have to cut the rear subrails out so the body sat down on the frame or were they gone already? I'd love to see some pics of the way it looks back there now.

Jerry, someone already cut them to fit this frame when I bought it. But... it looks like they did it with a freaking hammer and chisel! Ok, not that bad, but not very good either. I need to get under there and clean everything up a bit before I build the new curved pieces to weld in there.

When I saw your truck go on Ebay, I knew you were up to no good & it was only time that we'd know. It'll be a great winter project. Keep up the good work..it's gonna be real nice.
