No it's not. Look at it this way; Job security for some rod builder somewhere.

    It should buff right out,
But how about using a steel hood this time.
I wouldnt expect anyone to be using a glass hood on
    anything but a street beast.
Oh well,at least hopefully he didnt hurt someone else.
I think it would be funny if his insurance company saw this on here and
ended up telling him to get screwed.

Is that irony or what? A plastic green car hit a green tree, and both are recycable!

What a bummer. Glad no one was hurt, he could have hit a person.

  14. This sucks, why not just drive Moms Taurus. WTF!

  15. Look at the last picture of the 32. The fucking steering column came loose from the dash board, was it bolted through the fiberglass?

Thats pretty funny, I have that dash in my car...

...except my car is a Lincoln Mark VIII, and it belongs in that car.

  17. Well, whether I/we like the style or fact it's 'glass, I wouldn't wish that on anyone. So, quit crumbin on the guy. I mean, who DOESN'T like doin burnouts? Would you like that to happen to YOU on your next burnout? I'm guessin NO! I've done burnouts in fun, and thought the fucker almost got away from me. If that hasn't happened to you, either you're full of shit, your car's a turd, or ya ain't tryin hard enough

And lucky me got to drive that thing that way. My wife and I both have sore lower backs but our rear ends are fine...!!! It was better to have a loan-a-hot rod than walk all the way around the grounds....

  19. My first time at Columbus this year. And I have to say by far the best show I have ever been to.

And the green roadster that hit the tree made the a.m. news on friday.
Not very good publicity for hot rodders.

The guy was an asshole to attempt a burnout anyplace but in a well suited environment (like a big empty parking lot with no trees or poles), but had he been in an all steel Henry's orginal 32 would he have still been an asshole??? Absolutely!! Just because he's driving a glass car doesn't change the fact of what he is and what he did.

I'd like to hear what he is going to tell his insurance agent.:D

I watched the green roadster leave the host hotel just prior to the tree jumping out in front if it. The gent driving it looked about 60's, no gold chain in sight. Just a guy who followed what other guys were doing leaving the parking lot..........only he made some type of mistake or perhaps the throttle cable jammed.
I've always said, people who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones. We've all done stupid things.
Imagine what would have happened if the car with the school chairs as seats did a burnout and hit the tree. We'd be jumping all over him for having ridiculous seats in a car.

Makes no difference the depth of the dudes pockets, what he wears, or what type of car it is, he did a stupid act..... period. Just a good think no spectators got hurt.

The police sat on that access road for the rest of the weekend....at least in the evenings when I was cruzn by.
