Vehicles such as these are called “Classics” because that’s what they are! Thanks for showing them to us, hopefully they will be appreciated for years to come.
California is a great place to visit. Living on the coast is great. Great place to meet new friends and there cars.
Hey B, Nice photos of that car show on the Shoreline Park area. Nice cars and great location on the SF Bay. When we made our first road trips (during 1966-69) up the coast to the SF Bay area, there were four areas across the Golden Gate Bridge that we liked. Of course, Sausalito was the first choice, Stinson Beach, then Tiburon and then higher up into the Larkspur area. Sausalito got us hooked on the Bay Area waterfront living and the aura that the whole area gave us as we walked all over the place. Stinson Beach, although a little dangerous, was cool area due to the forest coming right down to the water. Perhaps not the best beach for daily surfing, but, a cool beach and surrounding area none the less. By the time the next trip was planned, we decided to go to the next cove over (Tiburon area) and find the small homes looking Eastward for those cool early morning sunrises over the bay. Finally, a couple we met mentioned the small homes in the Larkspur Area closer to Mt.Tamalpais. That green forested area of the Tamalpais/Muir Woods forest was outstanding. It gave us the feeling of actually getting lost in a huge jungle growth, within several blocks from civilization. But, yet, the views from the whole area looking back across the bridges of the bay was the best for us at the time. We were in awe and were in heavy conversation about moving up here permanently. Jnaki Some of the views from higher up the coastal hills makes the Bay Area pretty nice. It gave us plenty of different angles to see the “Big City” across the water and the bridges. We always liked S.F. city. But, since we lived near one of the largest big cities in the USA, a large city away from our area was not in the cards for us. Views, waterfront affordability at the time, and different locations was going to be our next choices in our 20s. At least, we would be close to the 1966-69 S.F. city life, but far enough away to actually enjoy the whole different environment from So Cal coastal life. These days, prior to the pandemic, on our road trips South from the Pacific Northwest and Victoria, B.C. we would drive through and stop in Northern side of the Golden Gate Bridge for lunch or dinner. But, the drive through the Big S.F. city area is a chore that we have to set our minds to, to get South along the coastline for some relaxed ocean view driving all the way home. But, who knows, those white sails in the background near the Peninsula Point and the Cove could have been us out in the water…YRMV
