Soooooooo, I get my dropped axle, springs and everything put in and when I go to put in the tie rod drops I realize what big hunks of garbage they are. They are offered by Classic Performance Products. I cant figure out how to attatch pic of them. The hole that the bolts the drop to steering arm isnt tapered so there so much slop. When ya turn steering wheel it takes half a turn of steering wheel to get passenger side wheel to even think about turning. What have you guys used that actually works good? Im looking at the dropped tie rod ends that speedway offers now as my next option. At least that should cut out the huge amount of slop from that turd of a tie rod drop I bought.

Have ya had good results as far as driveability? Bump steer, death wobble and all that crap?

Yeah they are so sketchy lookin. I don't know how they sell those things. Can't imagine they've worked for anyone who's bought em. Unless I'm the first and only dumbass.

I wouldn't have a bar of those drops - more so if you've got a big-block motor and fat tyres, the flexing etc is pretty pronounced if they're of any length..

And in any account they're banned in the country due to the myriad of problems that can happen when they're used.

If I have it figured right (I've been known to be wrong!) you are using 'gizmos' that fit between your tie-rod ends and your steering-arm ends??

Yeah them things are J U N K !!!!!!! I'm switching to the dropped tie rod ends I guess. Doesn't really seem to be many other options that have decent results

Yeah I orig was gonna get everything from Sid. Wanted to support the HAMBers. When I couldn't wait for the time it took to remove, send off, and wait fer new axle. I just got everything from that POS dump. Now that I see how a block looks in there as opposed to a dropped ball joint. I like the looks of the dropped ball joint better. The comments seem better goin that route too.

  14. Mmmm, interesting. I never did like the idea of those drop block thingo's. I'm going to look at the speedway option. I want to get an F1, but never did because I won't drive it at stock height and didn't want to use those steering drop blocks to lower it, I'm glad there is now an alternative - glad I stumbled on this thread.now the fun bit, looking for an F1.
