Question. 1932 Chevy ball and socket rod ends. Can these be drilled out and tapered to fit Ford type tie rod ends? Has anyone used these ball and socket ends ? Thanks in advance for any advice. 20190427_184313.jpg 20190427_184308.jpg

  2. I run them on my 33. they work fine once restored.
I would think there would not be a problem having the end of the arm machines for a tapered end.

sure looks the same size as ford stuff, if so, you can buy a new ball, and the rebuild parts pretty cheap. to drill it out and switch to modern stuff would be a breeze too. i think speedway sells the tapered reamer. or you cut the ball off and drill it for the new weld in ball from brattons model a parts
