Customs Tilt Column for a chopped 1951 Chevy

78 pontiac column in my 49 and shaved the key. I love it.

 

I just want a clean looking tilt with no key.

 

that's the issue I have with them, the majority of the ones I see are with key, which looks wrong. The earlier ones can be had but a lot of times are worn out by the time you get them. Good luck with it. Like was said early 60's Caddys should have them.

 

thx Zman.....I'm hoping to have this car back together by spring. I am building a custom grill for it. I'll have to post pics of it later.

 

Look for the older Chev/GMC vans as they came without the key on the column. Shave the shifter handle junk off and they are a nice clean unit.
