tilt front ends...lets see them

Wether you need to cut the fenders or not depends on the vertical location of the hinge point. If it is at the same height, or lower than the lowest part of the fender, the fender will "pull" forward as the hood begins to rotate open.
I hope this explanation makes sense. Start with a side view drawing of the car and a comp***, start drawing arcs, you'll see what I mean.

Can you fab up something in the front pivot point area that slides forward a few inches and stops. I'm not a big fan of cut fenders. There is a company that sells a tilt front end hinge setup that moves forward and then tilts. Not sure who it is Maybe Mirage.

 

if you look at the pics of it there is one tube inside of another that slides in and out. the whole ***embly is one and two holes in the front of the frame rails and it slides out to a stop 5 inches and then you lift it and it stops on its own. to let it down we simply put it down to some catches on the firewall and then push it back and pin the sides . send me a email and ill reply and attach some pics of it being done.

 

look at my post on this it slides in and out and hinges with one hand.. works very well and this car cant have a scratch anywehre , so it has to work..

 

i'm no hurry to cut the fenders....if theres way out i'm gonna figure it out
