hey all has anyone used a welder joes tilt hood kit ?, i recently purchased one it was alot cheaper then the competition, but as so it doesnt operate as well either it needs some manufacturing on your part , my question is has anyone else used this? and what did you do to help it operate on your project,my particular problem is it wants to completely roll forward and lay on the fenders ,,so im trying to come up with ideas for a travel limiter

Slap on a pair of tailgate cables from a PU truck. I use them on both of my tilt frontends, and they work perfect! Never bought a kit. I always make my own setup.
I made a pair of straps that go around one framework leg, and they can be loosened and slid up or down to set how far it opens.

Wrecking yards are full of PU trucks with them on the tailgate. Couple bucks each.
