Hey to all.

I’ve been lurking far long enough and like what I have seen from you guys. I know a few of you guys, but other than AV8Paul won’t drop any names at this point to protect the innocent. That’s my truck in the “Black Beauty” post. Thanks for the good words guys.

My name is Keith and I’m 48 years old. I grew up in Connecticut about 15 minutes from CT Dragway and hung around there a lot back in the late 60's and 70's. Moved to M***achusetts with my family 10 years ago. We are out by Cape Cod about 15 minutes from the c****.

I’ve been married for 20 something years to a great woman who has always put up with my ways good or bad. I have 2 kids, a 20-year-old son and a 17-year-old daughter.

I’m a Mechanical Engineer by schooling and had been in the Engineering field for 28 years in manufacturing, but things change. The last 2 years I have been in quality for an OE Automotive Plant that makes rubber O-Rings for automotive and aerospace , brake and clutch rubber parts.

I have been into cars and bikes all my life. My dad had a store in the 50’s and 60’s that was next door to the town Texaco station and the local diner. I spent a lot of time hanging around back then watching and dreaming.

I was on roundy-round modified team for a bunch of years back in the 70’s, and have had a few hot rods and bikes over the years.

I am going to try to attach some pictures of my rides, but I don’t have a clue how so I’ll try one at a time. I'm not sure if the files I have are too big. Paul only told me how to post!

I just finished the ’33 pick up this past year. I had it on the road last year after a 6-month build and finished it up this past winter. It’s chopped 6”, channeled 8”, 401 Nailhead, T400, 9”, basically ’33 rails, the rest you can pretty much see.

My picture files are too big to attach. I may need some help from you guys and I'll get some out as soon as I can figure this out. You can see my 33 pickup on the Black Beauty post Thirtycoup put up.

Yea I was a lurker too until they made me come out and play. Almost three months without being noticed LoL. Oh well now that I'm out I guess i'll have to start throwing in my two pennies worth so's I can get rid of this stupid stranger label. So your an engineer? I'm somewhat your counterpart, I'm a machinist, I get to decipher an engineers blueprint and make it into something real. Real fun! Nah I'm just kidding, with out you guys we wouldnt have jobs. Its just when, you have the location of a hole and the depth of the hole, who forgot to put the hole diameter? [IMG] yea yea I know Jason

Welcome to the HAMB Keith. Good to see another "local" guy on board. You should have much to offer to folks here.
Attached is a shot of your truck from the Shamrods cruise last night.

Welcome Kieth,
I am a newbie too. This is such a cool board I know you'll dig it. Check my post about 6-10-04. Do a search on "michaelthe9" as author and go the earliest date and some of the later dates. My intro is very similar to your intro and the later posts have some pix of my and my son David's cars. I just tried posting pictures myself last night. The resolution and size of the pixcel count makes a difference. The requested size limit is 70kb so it took me a bit to get the size down. If you have some kind of picture modifying software from a scanner or printer it might help you to modify the picture so it shows up.
Good luck,
Michael

Hey Wayne,
You like those air cleaners do you? Bet you wish you had a pair like that. How is you RPU coming along? Send me some progress pictures if you have any.

Thanks all for the welcome.

I still don't have my software together yet to compress my image files, but I will get my Intro finished soon. I've got a '51 Merc sled to show you, progress pic's of my new project and some other pics to share also.
This is a great place. I'm glad I finally got pushed over the edge!
