So run without fenders awhile , then put 'em back on fer awhile... Ain't it grand to be faced with those kinds of tough decisions???

I'm usually pretty blunt with my opinions, hope you don't mind, but if you're gonna go fenderless, put some 7.50x16's on the back and do something different with those tailpipes....you'll thank me later.

And the 7.50's will look great WITH fenders too.

  5. I know the tailpipes need to be shortened (it's on my list) The tires are also noted! Thanks

  6. While I have been waiting to get some guys over to help with taking the body off the frame. I decided to build some cross bracing for the body behind the seat. With the body being painted I had to make it a bolt in deal. It mounts to the body bolts through the frame and is attached to the panel behind the top of the seat. It should help some. Body is scheduled for lift off Friday night. I will post some shots taken before we get into the beer.

  7. Liftoff (removing the body) went very well. I say that because no one pulled their back out and they left some beer for me. It’s amazing what guys will do for free beer! Having a lift and good friends made this easy. Now the work starts. Thanks Guys

  11. I have to agree.....Full Fenders. I think it's the colors of the car that point me in that direction....Classic Tan and Black with the Red Wires....just too kool to mess with. Hey, run it both ways...just run it! Great Car.....

    Great looking car either way.....
But do agree....those cars with fenders are getting to be the minority...so I would leave them on...
    But JMHO...
    Good luck,
    Cheers...............

  13. enjoyed those photos of you and your buds pulling the body.....that's living right....it doesn't get much better than hanging out with friends in the garage.

Add some fajitas on the grill and you've reached perfection.

  21. you have to look close at the "mess", there is a tiny scratch on the side of the frame down low, dust had accumulated on top of one of the cross members, no lock washer on the clamp holding e-brake cable, looked like a total rebuild to me

  27. Fitted a Posies rear spring before taking everything apart. Frame sits higher than original spring with 4” shackles. It has a lot more bounce. Hope it settles down over time or I will need to remove some leafs.
I am going to try and get new exhaust figured to go over axle and any other modifications necessary before it all gets blasted. Well back to work.:D

Personally like it with fenders. So many 32 hiboy roadsters.

  29. Ok back to work. Getting ready to pull motor! Hey were do you guys bolt the chain on these flatheads? The intake holes look a little scary to me. And the exhaust bolts look ok but I will need to fab long brackets to keep the chain off the heads. Anyway enough work for New Years Day.
