Not everyone gets to use a '32 chassis for access to the roof, hope you got the leak fixed. [IMG]

  7. 2 coats transtar epoxy primer/sealer, three coats urethane filler primer, blocked, then two more coats of filler primer. will finish with PPG dcc urethane black.

  8. That Buick looks good in the shop!

  9. Frame and motor painted and just about everything else! Now if we can keep the F%#&'n Cat off the frame it will be good! Ted did a good job on the frame for a relative:eek:

that investment in the time life books, how to paint things, really paid off.

Obviously, Slick Willy isn't familiar with the owner-builder here.! He just can't leave a thing alone, but when his hot rod is done (ever?) it will have been worth the trouble.
The '32 looks great, MB. I had no idea you had gotten that far into your project. I never had more fun with the 3/w myself since tossing the fenders some 220,000 miles ago.

Just wondering about the front crossmember, looks like a bolt in, why not rivet it in before the paint went on?

  18. It is bolted in with rivet like bolts. That is how it was and allowed for painting between frame and cross member. picky picky:rolleyes:

  19. Went to help carry a roadster body into Ted's shop this morning. (not mine) He is doing a patina paint job on a 32 Brookville body. Forgot camera.:( Came back got the front end in today! Also did some fab for a spring spacer. Got all the shocks on.

  24. Took a break today from running brake lines and went over to Ted's to see what he was up to. Roadster body belongs to fellow HAMBer and is undergoing a patina paint job. Major Mopar project on lift! I think Ted is spending too much time with the Cat. Anyway we discussed what we were having for dinner and I went home to my project:rolleyes: All in all a good day!

  25. found out a '32 roadster body hangs dead level when suspended form the top brackets. i added a few hooks to keep it from swaying while painting.
nice try Mark, but did you think we wouldn't notice the louvered deck lid was missing?:D

  26. What deck lid:rolleyes: Is that how you get the paint even?? Saturday: Took the wife out for breakfast ,finished brake lines, master cyl. adjusted brakes, hooked up pedals etc. Need to modify rear drum retainers before I blead system. Try and post some photos Sunday!

Fresh paint and brake bleading, the pro shops use glass oil bottles with the funnel tops and a piece of fuel line.

  28. Pedals, brakes & lines, master cyl. finished! Motor should go in some times this week:cool:
