    Bored with that? Yea, right.........:D
I really like it the way it is.

  6. Buy the paint in a quart can and shoot it with a cheap Harbor Freight gun. Most alkalid enamels can be thinned with acetone and shot.

Red oxide primer with a little gloss red mixed in will give a really cool sheen. Stripe it up and your done.

    satin/semi-gloss baby blue. yes, really.

+1 on the quart or two of enamel and a cheap harbor freight gun.

A beautiful car!! Great lines. You should be proud to own it. My vote...any color you like.
Back in the 70s I had a friend who went around to all the body shops and painters asking for free opened used cans of Imron. Sometimes he'd get half an ounce, sometimes a half gallon. Anyway, he mixed it all up, all different colors. Some metallics. I helped him prep his car, a 49 Ford tudor. Body work was very good, primed it with epoxy. Then we shot the paint. It was the strangest color that I, or anyone, had ever seen. Way beyond description. Sort of a purple, blue, brown with metallic flecks every so often. People would ask what color it was and he replied, "I don't know". And they'd get pissed.

wally world sells a badass cobalt blue satin in rattle cans that would look sick on that car,you could tape off some sweet looking vintage style scallops and spray those over that black!! has anyone ever taken a gallon of paint and mixed with baby powder? theres a finish to die for!!! really looks good in purple or baby blue! Leave it flat black and put on lime green scallops with a purple pinstripe around each scallop

Red oxide always looks good to me. I like gold for that car. Why not just throw a quick paint job on the car with a spray gun?
