TIMING @ 180 OUT DISCUSSION

The distributors in both engines are driven off the cam. The cams rotate opposite and that is what makes the rotors turn the opposite way in each engine. The difference in cam direction is caused by the cams being driven differently off the crank.

8ba is a gear to gear setup.


289/302 is a timing chain.
