Customs timing issue, from a 12o clock tab to a 2...

I didnt realize when i bought the after market cover that there was 2 different timing tabs... and it gave me hell trying to fire up my motor for the first time. Is there anyway i can get the harmonic balancer to a 0 degree so i can mark it then time the motor from there? i have the adjustable timing gun so all i need to see is 0 degrees. would putting the motor at tdc make the balancer show 0degrees? or is there any possible way to do this?

 

set it at TDC, get yerself some timing tape (it sticks to the balancer) and put it on so the marks line up with your pointer. done deal.
