A good freind of mine and I take a couple of days each year to go tin hunting in the wilderness that is North Dakota. Today we went on a 300 mile loop, taking camera and binoculars, and looked at anythind that looked like it might be old tin. We had some luck and I will be posting pics as soon as I figure out how. I'm new to this so be patient. It's going to be Sunday evening befor I have time to get it done. I made an offer on a pile of asorted A & T stuff but the guy wouldn't commit one way or the other. When I got home he the phone was ringing and it was the guy I made the offer to and he said that the reason he couldn't commit was that some other guy who had boughten some stuff earlier had first chance at the T roadster that was there. It is up on its' wheels with doors and deck lid full top bows and some other stuff. It was the best thing there. The good news is that he would rather the stuff go to someone who will use it rather than someone like the other guy who is going to turn it for a buck. My son is a hamber (Dakota) and it's really for him that I wanted this stuff and that made a good impression on him. You guys all know that now is the time to collect that old tin because it's not getting any easier to come by. The tin here in the Dakotas is going fast. You see trucks full of stuff leaving the state all the time. The supply was never that big here due to the small population. I hope you guys all had a good day. The ticks were out in force today and now I must go examine my groin for the nasty little vampires.

Been there-done that. Not too many dumb ones out there anymore. If anything the old car hype has made them all think that it is ALL worth millions, no matterv what it is.

Hey Arch- or is it Jack (Armstrong)? Keith and I call those expeditions-"Automotive Archaeology" 'cause we Dig Old Parts. I just finished repairing my "rattlesnake revolver" in preparation for this year's expeditions. Glad to see you made it to the H.A.M.B. I'll be looking forward to the pictures. overspray

There was a dude there in Bowman, ND that had a shitload of old tin. Seems he sold A and T parts (even had a catelog) out of both Bowman and Marmoth in SW North Dakota. Does he still have all those vintage bodies and parts for sale? I was last there about 3 or 4 years ago and he did have a lot for sale at the time.

I know what you mean. I,ve gotten to the point where if I see a load of tin and have the chance I'll ask about where it came from and if there is a bill of sale for his stuff. Freinds of mine have had stuff stolen. If the guy with the
load is a real shithead I note the license and drop a dime.
