Here's how to identify 1937 Ford rear fenders as well as 1940 passenger vs. 1940-41 pickup front fenders. I understand that the 1940 passenger car fender flange to cowl can be flattened out to fit the 1940-41 pickup. Remember, the 1940-41 pickup cowl section is flat in that mounting area. We will have our 1939 Deluxe-1940 passenger front fenders done early this Spring. We'll look into the fitting issue for the pickups and keep you advised. Bob <!-- attachments -->
Wow click on the HAMB and get great information from Bob Drake...........Life is good. Oh and welcome Mr. Drake.
Welcome, Maybe this could be the start of a weekly tip from Drake. The Alliance vendor idea is great.
Thanks for the tips and thanks for being on here. Your efforts over the yrs. have gone a long way in helping folks keep a lot of '40's (and others) on the road, mine included. Your repro work has always been top notch and your catalogs a never ending source of tech help....Don.
Yeah Bob, I'm afraid I have been waiting long enough to go completely broke to you. With good planning, I am hoping to get a drivers front fender and a passengers rear fender (that were stolen) to go with the two remaining good ones when you come to the streetrod nationals aug 4th in Louisville. Then I will have to save up for a grille. That page looks like it came out of my collectors catalog........
I've spent a lot of lunch money with Bob and have never had problem with his parts. Thanks for the info.
Yep, always been please with my Drake's stuff. And their catalog is one of the best. You can actually get a good idea of the piece you want to buy-in color and positioned for detail.
Bob is having a big sale to celebrate his 40th anniversary. I can't imagine anyone missed this, but here is a link: http://www.bobdrake.com/SALE/Website_40th_Anniversary.pdf
