I'd like to see 235 60 15 tires mounted on 15 7 vs 15 8.5 to see how much difference in height there will be..When mounted to a 15 8.5 wheel.Do you compensate with 245 or 255 60 15's to even things out as far as height goes? Thanks
Any height differential would be minute and not noticeable by eye. Depending on the car, be careful about using the 50 & 60 series tires. Aside from the overall ratio from the height change between these it may make the car look a little 'off.' Like in, the rear wheels look overly small, especially on highboys.
I can't help you with the 8.5 wheels, but my avatar pic is 235/60/15's. I think they look just fine on my car, but that's just me. What sizes would you guys recommend that he go with? If that's what you want and you think they look good, that's all that matters. You're the only person that has to be happy with your car!
205/70 or 215/70 up front and 255/70 out back... or 215/75 and 265/75 http://www.tirerack.com/tires/Sizes...false&fromCompare1=yes&partnum=105R5DESTLEOWL
