    Hello,
    A friend wants to purchase some new tires for his '32 4-door street rod. He has 15" wheel vintique wheels.

    Tire sizes he wants are (they are radials):
    165/80r15 front
    235/80r15 back

    Any idea if anyone offers that range of tires in the same tread pattern? What do you guys suggest?

    Thanks!!

    Those sizes are available though your local tire stores Front = VW size but finding front and rear with matching tread and sidewalls might be a challenge as the big ones are pickup size.
    Funny think is that Michelin invented the radials in 1946 or at least perfected them and they have been in use in the states since the late 40's. The state patrol ran them here in this state in the early 60's because they would handle better and handle high speeds better than the bias tires that were available.

    Not sure I get the joke or insult from the first two replies. The car is a street rod, 350, auto. Don't most street rods run radial tires?

    Thanks to the other two replies. I appreciate the input.

    Try Tire Rack, they list most tires. You can search by size, which makes it much easier as they also list the diameters. Good Luck, Carp.

    nexen roadian ct8 185 r 15 - i think the apect ratio is 80
    nexen roadian ct8 215 r 15 - i think the aspect is 70
    commecrial van / pickup tyres
    7 ply
    same tread pattern
    have the commercial designation if putting them on a pickup
    low noise 71 db
    ideal on 6j front and 7j rear
    6j=7'' = 175mm = 5mm rubber each way
    7j = 8'' = 205mm = 5mm rubber each way

    excellent quality and priced well.

    if you manage to find the 7'' wheels with the deeper backspace or the extra 5/8ths positive offset, IF you happen upon a 59.25'' rear axle, the track widths front and rear are not that far apart - thats if you are using a 48'' wide axle with the cheeby rotors and not the mopar versions.

    Street Rods usually run round tires, especially if they are freeway fliers!
