tire lettering be gone....

how would one go about grinding down lettering on the side of a tire?

 

Rotate each tire to the right front of the car, and let my wife drive it for a while. It may take a few weeks, depends on how many times she has to park.
Seriously, check the Hamb tech-o-matic. Lotsa posts on whitewall grinding

i used 180 grit on a da.....cleaned the side walls off on my hurst slicks....goodyear wranglers didn't get it done on a model a.......did leave the dot though........brandon

 

Man ain't that the truth! I was thinkin' about makin' up a stainless steel portawall for that tire...
