    Mounting some tires . You like your dot date number in or out?

    Id like to mount tire with the DOT date out. But these new tires i have , have a tiny white bar code tag molded into rubber at the bead area that will show at the rim edge.
    So,,, Im going to mount the DOT date inside with the tiny white tag inside too on these tires

    :);):(:mad::confused::cool::p:D:eek::oops::rolleyes:o_O

    Boy, good thing there is the internet so I can share that :eek::D

    I mounted hundreds of tires in-the 60’s working at a Sears auto center. White walls had all the ID info on-the black wall side. When mounting black walls I did the same. Being a car guy I thought they looked better. Today there is more info and if I’m getting new tires I have the sales guy write in bold letter TIRE DATE AND SERIAL NUMBER GO TO THE BACKSIDE. I look at my car before I pay…yes a couple of times it went back on the rack.

    We have the Coker classic bias look radials ($400 each mind you) on our 52 Jaguar and for unknown reasons Coker put the date code with the white wall side and looks like****.
    Usually date code inside to answer your question.
