I have a pair of 15 x 10 steelies for the rear and a pair of 15 x 8 wheels for the front of my C10. I want to put white walls on the truck. Does anyone have any idea what size tire would give me a nice look on the truck with a good stance? For some reason I am having trouble finding a tire dealer who can give me a straight answer. Thanks as always for any help.
Those are pretty wide wheels. The next question needs to be how tall do you need the tires to be? The eight inch wheels are just about right for what p***es for a big whitewall tire. The ten inchers might be hard to fit.
You might have to use a Ol' Sckool piecrust slick if you want to run a 10" wheel and a whitewall. I looked around quite a bit for the same thing and they were the only tires I could find that would work. You could always use the 15x8 on the rear and grab some 15x6 or 15x7 for the front. Then you could run 235/75R15 WWW rears and whatever other size you liked for the front.
For the 15x10 you could use BFG Silvertown 285x70x15 and on the 15x8 you could use a 235x75x15 BFG Silvertown - uuurrrr eeegghh it is a radial tire, I do not see a problem but I am sure others on here will disagree.
yep, wide rims = big tires. running a 235/75/15 on 8" up front would help offset lowering and increase difficulty turning.
Check out Diamond Back tires. They have tire sizes and recommended wheel widths. Link; www.dbtires.com/catalog2011.html
