I am putting new tires on my 1965 Studebaker. I already have 205/70/15 s on the front. My issue is wanting to make the front and back of the car (at the wheel wells) equal heights. Because of the new coil springs in the front using the same size tires in the back leaves the rear about a 1 1/2 inch shorter. Should I use a taller 15 inch tire in the rear or use blocks to raise it up. I know I could put longer shackles on but rather not do that. Also don’t want to spend the money on new rear springs right now. Thanks for and suggestions

That has the same thing most cars from the 50s and newer have, a taller opening in front to clear the steering tires. You need to decide what you want and taller tires may get you closer, but suspension may need work too. No money makes it even tougher. Add on an orphan car with limited options and you've hit the trifecta.

Cut the front springs and lower the front. This is the HAMB after all.
