You bet! From these we learned no to position our steering boxes too close to the exhaust manifold. Oh, I guess that was next year.

Yes along with improper steering geometry and rear suspension mods that suited Oval track racing but not Street duty...boy does that get feathers ruffled...

...Dick Frazier was one of a few whom built this Roaring Roadster that propelled them to many victories...it was in a dramatic crash at the track and written off and found many many years later and restored and is doing museum duty these days...after a generous donation...

Regarding the Oakland Raceway, it says Freddie Agabashian from Berkeley won the Midget Final. He later had a Signal gas station in the Pleasant Hill/Walnut Creek area. I saw him win in midgets at Pinole(sp?). I believe he had the distinction of finishing 2nd at Indy three times, but is most remembered as the expert "color commentator" of the old Indy radio broadcasts.

One of my relatives built this last year during our lockdown. It’s a 1924 Dodge roadster that he’s converted to a boat tail speedster. Still running the stock engine and drivetrain just with a different carb and lightened flywheel. Not sure if you’d class it as a hot rod or a “Special” but it’s definitely different.

That's Awesome and is it a Hotrod...to me, it's related and could be referenced as such...as race and flying down the open roads is certainly part of the deal...

I often reference these as Hybrids with Hotrod as part of the mix...

It reminds me of @Drmalacarne's build here on the Hamb...

...where you should share this work of Art that goes...

    Thanks for Sharing that @Di0n...

...Evolution in Hotrod is many times a one of a kind experience in the journey...

Such a telling and awesome image, this was a second or third generation build of the Northern Star now owned by @34Larry that took it to its latest iteration...

See the link above for a more thorough history...

...this must have stood out back in the day as the Headlights are way down and I suppose 2D1 7 inchers and they look pretty tiny...

This would be the Late Aubrey "Jack" Delaney's Hotrod...he was a member of the Bakersfield Coupe and Roadster Club later changed to the Smokers...

Are those trophies on the tank?

RIP Hotrodder and thank you for your service...
