With the exception of the injector adaptor, and 4 intake push rod knocks in the block, it is a bolt together.

  10. A rare and good looking coupe for it's day, and it still looks good today.

It was built in the late 50s by Dick Patterson of Rialto, California. Early Ford overhead engine with a McCullough blower. We called the seats lawn chairs. He was a member of the Over the Hill Gang, San Bernardino chapter (all information by memory -- not always spot on).

Last week it was Le Mans Classic 2023!

For this amazing event, we just have finished our hot rod based on a 1924 Renault MT.

The color of the car, the race number and the tricolor stripe is a tribute to the Caudron Rafale aircraft.

After an incredible run on the racetrack with some guys from ther FSRA (French Street Rod Association) for a TV show, the hot rod has been revealed to the enthusiast public (250,000 people were here!).

After that, it was time for the races with our 3 very efficient 4 CVs and one modified in 1953 has a barquette (one made DB Renault 1066 type) on track and our lovely tow truck (Renault Primaquatre 1933) as a paddock car. We finish 1 and 3 at the performance index but that's another story!

Now, let’s go know at the fabulous Goodwood Festival of Speed with the hot rod. For sure, MTHR BD (8).jpg MTHR BD (8).jpg MTHR (1).jpg MTHR LMC 4.JPG the hill climb will be a great fun with that car!

...This was owned by a well known fella this way by the name of Bill Sherk...I'm pretty sure it was driven like this by the story I read so I guess it would either qualify as a Hotrod or Jalopy more than a Custom at this point...he apparently didn't own it long but it was a pretty sharp looking ride when he bought it...

I found an article on it and he bought it from a fella by the name of Peter Clancy...

Bill was a teacher but also as an old car guy at The publication 'Old Autos' and an author of many books...

Where is it now...well I think it was at a local Cruise here recently and now shows as a Custom...and a nice one at that...I will post a link later as I will share its ressurection that certainly harkens back to the good ole days...

It made my day seeing it in the show...the young man Bill talked of selling it to may have been the fella I spoke to at the Cruise or not as he may have had 2...I think he only recently got it on the road...

I rode in a stocker once at Scotty's Muffler, George driving. The passenger is quite intimate with the driver -- sorta bobsled style. Went about 30 feet and some kinda gear-change cable broke.

My buddy Danny @supercruiserstudios on Instagram made some of those stickers. They look just like the picture. If you don't have Instagram, DM me and I'll give you his number

...this was shared on Colesy's site/blog...I believe this is an Ontario Hotrod/Drag Coupe...I'm curious...a while back I was driving the back 40 and saw this place near McIntosh Mills On. And was wondering if there was a connection...anyone know?

Just curious really but it would be neat to know that such a seriously cool ride was local to this rural area where farming and fishing is the big ticket...
