Tell yah a little story about a man named Jed...well it reminds me of a hillbilly creation in many ways...the swoopy windshield for one...it is well put together though...they even pinstriped the frame...I'm surprised of the untidiness of the wiring but sometimes it's giving the finger to conforming...

@anthony myrick, I get to drive it after you...:D

...Great set of images for this Thread...

Diversity, purpose built, aesthetically off...and what's lurking in the background of course...;)

It still exists...I might be inclined to bring it back...but not my decision...it's still a Hotrod...do read the story and see more pics at the link above...I wouldn't be surprised if the owner is a Hamber...

I'd like to see more of the Ford F1. It is one thing to use oddball pieces. It is another thing to make them look like they belong.

...this was the former Pierson Coupe...with an engine that was readied for use in it but it never happened...by the story...It was a Caddy, with a cam over each head...

    Quoted below from the story...

"Cobbs would hang onto the whole, historical setup for the rest of his life. His family sold the complete engine to collector Ralph Whitworth, who displayed it for several years in the office of his stillborn museum in Winnemucca, Nevada. Its whereabouts since Whitworth's 2016 death are unknown."

Howard, McGurk and probably others made 5 x 2 manifolds for GMCs the four pipes is right since the middle 4 were Siamese ports. It looks like a circle track car to me. I'd like to see & hear it on a dirt 1/4 mile oval.

Stogy, it was a pair of 1/4 mile runs against a friends '54 Chevy with a recently installed 270 GMC junk yard transplant that made an Inliner out of me. I was driving a '38 Ford coupe with what I thought was a pretty hot flathead. I won but not by enough against a stock six. After he added a cam, a few more carbs and duel exhaust I avoided him. :D

You make me think about the 39 Chev Coupe or 2dr I dream about on occasion...a hot six would be a very fitting mill...

A friend in our Car Group this way has a 2x2 hopped six in his Fleetside...yepp, that's what I'd do...;)

...Just an opinion...I believe this is a pretty authentic inspired Hotrod...it's quite well detailed and put together. The stretch and canted shell although criticized many times were things that were done back in the day so like everything I appreciate the diversity warts and all...but to me there's not any warts on this one...
