You're analogies are traditional as apple pie...but then again you might see something I don't other than it looks to be either a deep channel or a combination of same with a stepped frame front and rear...or is it shell height to cowl...all done quite extensively in the past...as looks were personal and random...

I gotta hand it to those that stepped the frames as they increased cabin space, got low and probably reduced other chassis component mods...and won the race...

...always liked this shot...lots of unique mods on this one, the grille shell looks narrowed at the bottom, nice play on letters on the plate too...being we just had Veterans/Remembrance Days...It's a coincidence but noted...I also just noticed they either were working on the Cycle fenders or lost one...that surely did happen I'm sure...lotta pride in this build...it's evident...

...Where'd that angle of attack inspiration come from...hmmmm...;)...I can just hear the symphony of nastiness coming from the pipes...The filename is York so I'm going to assume it was York PA...it says in the story this former Airstrip at an active Airport was a place of Drag racing from 1955- 1979 in varied capacities...

His profile says he's been AWOL for 12 years.
Would like to see it with the nose grill in place myself.
The guy nailed it, he for sure knows how to screw a car together!

Top Picture: The old guy is saying " I told you to get this piece of crap out of the barn, we've got new calves on the way!". They are both dressed pretty nice for barn cleaning. Must be after church Sunday morning. Ma is in the house frying chicken.

@Six Ball you probably thought stude because @flt-blk is stude powered! Had to do a double take!

@Stogy with a hot rod like that it’s a safe bet
You were both in close proximity to someone’s chest lol IMG_1003.jpeg IMG_1004.jpeg

I looked at the front breather stand, valve cover studs, and what I take to be the distributer. The blow up of the picture shows the Ford covers pretty clearly. Guess I have Studes in my mind.

I've seen a couple of SBCs poorly disguised as Studebakers. Studes & Oldses look a lot more alike. Mass may have something to do with it.

I had a closer look at that and note the Steering wheel is pretty Isky like in position and set high almost apehanger on 4 wheels...setting up Hotrods is a pretty personal thing without a doubt...

Big steering wheels were a deal before little ones you could use with handcuffs came along. They were a pre-power steering, sometimes referred to as power steering by ArmStrong. Not to say many hot rods have power steering.
