Hot Rods Tired of homogenized hotrods

Two different versions of build here...one with rear fenders and different bias plies...there were so many brands of bias plies then many sporting very desirable tread patterns. This is a really cool looking pickup and that windshield just knocks it outta' the park.

 

I like vintage pics like this...those flat trailer fenders made it onto a number of Hotrods...I wonder if it was because it was easier and perhaps more visually pleasing to cover the wider rear ends using these over the oem style fenders...most seemed to be mounted from struts attached to the backing plate like cycle fronts...looks to be a winter scene in the show to cool off the summer heat a little too...
