...Hamber @retro designs Hotrod...I think he nailed it...to bad he only made 7 posts...maybe too much flack...to bad really...hope he's still driving the tires off of it...

Story was this car was rolled near when it was new then put in a garage or barn and left till 200?...Imagine that...never know...sometimes something like that scares one from that urge to ever drive again...

Was having a closer look at the engine as I was interested in the intake/carb setup and noticed something strange about the speak plugs. It seems it has none, or at least hard to make out. Almost appears there are bolts where the spark plugs should be. Definitely, no white porcelain to be seen.

@Ziggster if you look very closely you can see black 90 degree boots angling towards the intake manifold and running to the distributor I suppose...with the heads black I had too really focus to see them.

Ok. Now that you mention those 90 degree plugs it makes sense, but still very hard to make out. In my mind I guess I was expecting to see the same set up as mine with no boots on the plugs.

The Art of Hotrod/Custom...this incredible image looks like a form of Drawing...is a definition of timeless excellence...I've been staring at this as I have done many times. I am focusing now on the front bumper and I figure that center area was done to expose the beauty of the sculpted connection at the center...it a clear example of achieving a look with a sacrifice to protection. This aside so much of this Hotrod/Scene involves so many things that effect safety...I get it...my Hotrod doesn't have bumpers or nerfs so it just an observation. @Royalshifter did you replicate that or any other parts with some thoughts that you might have done things differently if you were in the same shoes back when it was fabricated?

I heard they are going to tear down the Ford Glass House. Today, our car club had a leaf color tour. On the way to the meet up spot, I went by the building, and got a few photos. Also, on the tour, we came across this Sinclair gas station in Lenard, MI fgh.jpg sinc s.jpg

That Ford Building actually looks a LOT like Oakvilles Ford Building...

I'm surprised you weren't*******ed out...you fooled them painting the outside blue...

Joking aside it's sad they couldn't save it

Since this is the Homogenized Thread and you posted a Ford Building...

...are these Destined for Overseas aka across the pond or down under...I notice for one thing what's with the bumpers, fenders? Is this AI?

  16. First car is LHD, 2nd car has a straight headlight bar and the trunk is to big for a Victoria , 4th car the front bumper is all over the place. That construction on the floor under the car looks a little to complicated. The chrome radiator surround has been discused before here . To many workers around the coffee machine on the left. If you really enlarge the photo it looks like the first worker is a woman who is standing between the cars and giving the thumbs up to someone behind the car, not really working on the headlight. See the feet position.

Thanks Gaz, great observations for a chuckle...and I can certainly relate to the coffee machine and Factory Life...for 32s this looks like Henry was throwing everything left over going into 33 was used in a 32&3rd run...not a bad thing either...

    Hello,

One day my wife and I were on our weekly beach cruise to run our usual gas fill up, errands and visits to a couple of shops. If it is sunny and we have not gone on one, we list the necessities we need for the week and head out to go get them. We normally do not go out on the weekends. It is something we learned many years ago when we lived in Laguna Beach.

Everyone in So Cal knows that the PCH highway from Los Angeles to the end of Orange County is always crowded all day and into the night on Friday evenings and all day Saturday. So, we were out and about during the week. And, we saw this cool lowered rake truck parked by the side of the road.

It may have been a coincidence, but the hot rod truck was parked near a custom dealer of old Chevy truck parts… YRMV

...Trog gets the creative vintage juices going and the guidelines aid in that...do they allow the vintage look radials in the race proper...I believe this 5w is equipped with a set...they keep refining the processes and they've come along way in getting a look with the modern advantage...
