Gotcha...I am surprised to see that level of smoothing...on a roundy round...racing for Lakes cutting down on drag perhaps...hey maybe it made for less mud packing...

That windshield from what I have seen seems to either have been changed out or cut down...ahh you mentioned altered so there was one and I take it you want to run the lowered one?

That last one looks like a cut down Hallock, not really sure, since the whole cowl was reshaped, that other V’d windshield bit the dust....this lowered one was made to fit the cowl. I wish that Doc would’ve been older than 3 yrs. old so he’d have a memory of just where this car was sold to????

I actually thought it might be a Austin Mini type engine but Chevy ll/Acadian ...that works...;)...this is actually a Canadian series of pics...that's what you're using in the Lakes inspired Rod your building if I'm not mistaken...correct?

Yes, I'm using a 153 in my roadster.
I looked up Morris Minor engines, the type used in Sprites MG Midgets and the Morris. I think you are right. The distributer is in the back, the valve cover looks right. It looks to have a down draft carb which is one thing that made me think it was a GM. That and what looks like an oil filter behind the front wheel.

It just goes to show you that people had as the years moved on more options became available to throw together and make a Jalopy...that's a lot of body for that engine...the T or whatever it is above would be a lighter package...but no question it would move it...someone's dream many moons ago...how many times did that happen...unfulfilled dreams.

Actually the Crosley you speak of is featured here back in the thread...

That group above are some of the lightest duty T buckets I have seen.

The headlights on the Austin T look like repurposed Mirror/Spots from the late Fifties...
