Pardon the dumb question, but what is that car? I like it. Oh, and I vote for black on black wheels.

    Duh, just read more...nevermind..

The wheels on my 39 Ford towtruck and car hauling trailer are exactly that color. Sorry

How fast is it? If its running under a 10 in the 1/4 I would say paint them rainbow :). That would be funny. As far as looks, if you just want to paint them I like the idea of white, gray wouldnt be too bad, and even black if there were beauty rings or a chrome bullet center.

I like your car....I'm running green 16" steelies on my '32 roadster. It's not apple green. It's a color that I matched to my '05 Arctic Cat race sled. My '34 Vicky had Tacoma cream wires with whitewalls.Last week I installed a set of black steelies and blackwalls on it to give it a more "sinister" look.I painted the Vicky hubcap centers green to match my roadster wheel color....Mike

there are all kinds of cars I haven't seen before on this thread.

    Go with orange.

I didn't want to like your car. After the initial shock wore off, I like it alot. Fix the damn door though. ;)

There are only 2 choices for your car:
    1. Black rims
    2. Chrome reverse rims

Anything else is going to draw all of the attention to the wheels and NOT the car.

Wow. I really liked your Vic before, but it's absolutely killer with the black on black. Looks like an old Mercedes!

Love the pic, I think I would get rid of the wide whites and leave it.
    Black is bad ass ............

  14. Hemiferris, your Deuce roadster sure looks good with the green wheels.
It is the car I was talking about.

Nice touch on the green lettering with the 34 Vicky.

Did'ja 'bout go blind painting the letters in?
I did my 31's hubcaps in One Shot's Process Blue which was a very good match for the powder blue wheels and one cap a day was all I could handle.

    Sorry for what? :)

Your wheels are apple green or blue?

Even if the wheels are blue, I have yet to see - in person, or in a photo for that matter - a medium blue wheel on a hot rod.

That's right, I do! The color is Duplicolor Spray Can Green from that Irish parts store, O'Reillys. It reminds me of the color of the four leaf clover, back in the old country, the Imerald Isle, on a warm sunny day, with my lass and a pint, just lazin' about......

....and that's my bit of blarney for today!:D

I disagree. I think you could put hot pink wheels on this ride and not have to worry about taking attention away from the car. The look of this car will never be overpowered by wheel color/choice?

If you have to change wheel color, pull one of the colors from the flames and use that to tie it all together. I think it looks fine. In the first photo, the wheels look black. That works for me. Nice car.

I would go black on the wheels, not flat black but shiny, looks good with a satin black body! just did mine like that, looks great! I don't think spokes would be right for your car but that's just my 2cents!!

I'd piant the wheels black and lose the top altogether. Don't have to fix the door windowframes either!:D
