Update for the never ending winter season for 2019 here in south western MN. Early morning on Wed. April 10th. the blizzard hit hard, and lasted thru Thursday till after midnight. Eighteen inches of the wettest snow I've seen in many years. We've had eighteen inches in one other blizzard this year, but the one a couple days ago was SO Wet, it was as heavy to move as wet cement. Many many homes, south of me by a few miles are with No Power now, some for a few days, and quite a few have been injured, and some lives lost, from this late season icy blizzard. Also a few quonset buildings have had their roofs cave in from the weight, and crush some pretty nice vehicles. Add this 18" to the 71" we've already had in my area, plus way colder than normal temps, 50 mile per hour winds, and that makes for a Looong season,,, it's been a Bitch !!!

Insurance company called to see if I wanted my policy on hotrod activated for May 1, told them hold off a few weeks. ....heading out of town yesterday evening, the first of what is expected 3 days of snow

gaining ground on the T-Bird. lots of small problems fitting 351c in it, but is finally installed. tight fit keeping that cleveland from hitting the drag link and stilll clear the hood with that high-rise intake!

We got hammered with a snowstorm in early Nov...melted. Cold and snow a couple days ago but nothing really. I'm ready!

Tonight we are going to the Galley (restaurant at the Marina) for our the Tri-City Rod & Custom Christmas Christmas party, no snow or rain but colder than a well diggers middle knee! We are gonna drive the old beater. HRP
Yes Dec 21 is the shortest day of the year. Starts going in the other direction after that. So far we haven't had terrible weather. I will go cut and haul another load of firewood today. the grandsoms call the firewood pile Mt Wood more. its shrunk considerably with the last week lows near freezing.
It has been an early Winter. Can't remember getting this snow before Christmas. Maybe we will have an early Spring. MY DOG LOVES IT!
I went and got the load of wood. I had cut two large cull hickory trees a week ago. and used my tractor to skid the entire trees out of the woods and to the edge of a field. Took a little over two hours to cut them up and load them on my truck. And ive already unloaded it. Hickory burns hot ive got it above 80 in here now.
