If someone applies for a lost ***le, then finds the original, is the original worthless now? Seems like if you sell the car with a lost ***le, it would negate the original.. does that sound right? I'm just curious. Really.

And where do the ***les go if you sell a car and it goes overseas? Are they processed the same way as if you sold it to your neighbor?

    Thanks.

I think a replacement ***le voids the original in most states. I am not sure how other countrys work but I have sold a couple trucks that went to Mexico and the boys tell me they don't even need our ***le when they get over the boarder. I think they get a new Mexican one when they cross over, if it is a vehicle that is allowed. I am not sure how they prove ownership or what would prevent a horrendous flood of stolen ones going across.
