I agree. I should have started out by saying " This may be worth looking into. Ask your local MA ***le place. This is what works in PA."

Ten years ago, PA was one of the more difficult states to work with, now it seems we're one of the better. I don't think the state ever made things easier, just everybody else "caught up".

    MA ***le info
    http://www.m***rmv.com/rmv/***les/index.htm

Now if it were off the road for, say, 42 or more years that would explain why it has no ***le.... and maybe the old reg was lost ---
in which case the M*** DOT should accept a notarized bill of sale which explains these fact, and maybe also a check of the VIN by an officer...

By the way you can check online to see if the VIN is in the M***. system.

As prewar said, check with the DMV (DOT) -- you can do that by email (and it may reach someone better than a window clerk).

I'd hold off until you can get some solid info from the RMV that you're comfortable with. Otherwise you're just buying parts that you may have to do something hinky with to turn into a legal ride in Nannychusetts.

I've got an old ***le for my body & I'm still extremely wary of the situation.
