Thanks HRP! We camped in it several times last year and had so much fun. My daughter has a neat Shasta compact. I got to take some pictures of it and post.

I found one pic on my phone that has my daughter's camper in it. It is the white and green 67 Shasta.

I built this for just over $300 using stuff I found for free or really cheap. Most of the cost was the plywood and $100 trailer. Mine is not vintage, but it's fun. I had never built anything out of wood before this. I still have finish work but we have stayed in it a couple times. No kitchen to keep the plan simple. No plan to make it even simpler. I just used a sharpie, a jig saw, a circular saw, a screw gun, a caulk gun, an a tape measure.

That wagon camper makes me think of my brothers "Tote Motel". Never seen a different manufacture. Hate to think how much the wood/ aluminum version weighs!

Pics are from the day my brother picked it up, he's since restored it and put it on an 70's Ford wagon till he can find a sutible mid 60's wagon to match the year of camper. Say's the wagon feels a little top heavy, go figure.

This is a great thread. At some point I would love to have a nice vintage trailer to pull with my pickup. In the meantime here's an interesting picture:

Just returned from a three week trip to the Keys and found this pair in the RV Camp I was staying at. The owner drove this down from Dexter, Mi. I was in tatal awe!

The town I live by had a major flood last june and I was to save a 1963 airstream safari. It was damaged beyond restoration due to being washed more than a mile away from where it was parked. Repurpose!

This is my '51 bee Line. Bought it last year and had to gut it do to rotten wood and poor previous repairs. I hope to get back on wall replacement when the weather breaks and get it suitable for camping for this fall. May tow it around to a few car shows once the walls are repaired. Looking for information on seat dimensions and sliding bed frame for the rear. I can't find any information on Bee Lines anywhere.

    Thanks for looking.

Congrats on the buy Danny. Let me know if you need some parts for it. I know a guy in Atlanta that bends the sheet metal for it if you decide to replace any of it.

...here's somethin a lil different, a friend owns this trailer originally built by a Boy Scout troop, they used it to camp out. Was made from a Chevy panel truck and the rear of a 35 Pontiac sedan.

Found this little trailer 56 Catolac DeVille sitting on the side of the road for sale. Perfect match to my camper so I drug it home.

Wow, nice job to get aa unusual look. It is quite similar to mine which started out as a version of a "Jim Dandy " from a set of plans for sale in the 1930's I modified it to this configuration in 2011. People\'s Choice (3).JPG People\'s Choice (5).JPG

We picked up a little 59 Shasta towards the end of this past Summer… very good shape, very little water damage, but the usual bumps and dings…. I never really got to it this year. but pulled off the eyebrows and gave them a quick buff n rub.. came out mint. The interior is 100% correct and has never been messed with… a few floor tiles are gone.. but thats it.The ch***is is excellent and no rot.I found out I am the 3rd owner since 59. which is very cool….I plan a re-paint and fix the dings in the spring…. I was quite surprised when all electrical and brakes worked when picking it up.Just needs some good ole elbow grease and attention.Plans are to haul it behind my 57 Ford….
