TLC Rides

Rides last night anyone see it? Pretty cool Steve Stanford, Gene Winfield, and Billy Gibbon's. They build a 61 Caddy for Billy or his girl. Also shows Billy driving a flamed 56 Chevy and shows some cool shots and talks about Copperhead.
Anything with Winfield and Stanford has to be cool

I always like Cadzilla!

 

I'm a Z fan so I thought it was a great show. I wish that I could have seen the Caddy under better lighting so you could check out Gene's fade paint and the Chrome painted roof. I was going to stay up to watch it again the second time, but I'm to old for that. I plan on recording it this weekend.

I would like to see more pics if anybody has them available.

The Copperhead pics were kool but the best part of the show was watching Cadzilla cruisn the streets.

I've never watched that show before last night. I was flipping thru the channels and saw Cadzilla and had to stop right there. And then Gene was on there to boot! Cadzilla has to be one of the most beautiful cars on earth. Gilligan is a lucky girl! How about the description on my tv said something like "watch a cadillac be turned into a rat rod for ZZ Top's fame billy gibbons". There was nothing rat roddish about that caddy!

 

Tivo. It's magic.

It was a good show, the fade job Gene did was great, and what about that "chrome" paint on the roof???

 

Caught the tail end of it. It was cool especially the end.

 

I watched the first 10 minutes on Tivo, and damn, I thought I was 13 years old again!

 

What did you guys think about the chrome roof? I thought it was a kool
idea, but I couldn't tell how it looked on the Caddy. Have you seen any
of this stuff in person.

What Channel??? After Overhaulin' we get The Adam Carrola Project on TLC. Sounds like one of the best episodes of Rides.

 

The show was on before Overhaulin' In the Mid west it was on at 6:00 pm and at 1:00 am.

 

Same thing here, back to back A.C. Didn't rides used to come on after O.H.?

 

Dang I want TiVo.

 

Tivo RULES. I could never go back to watching TV without it. I have about 20 hours of hot rod and WWII airplane stuff alone saved up. The Mrs. gets pissed! hahaha

And I have not watched a commercial in about 11 months.

 

That was a good show. I knew i shoulda stuck with guitar lessons! I could be an ugly mofo like him and still get hot tail and have a bunch of nice rides! Damn musicians!

I thoroughly enjoyed it. I was wondering about he "chrome" paint too. There didn't seem to be an outpouring of endor*****ts on it at the end, just wondering.

 

Damn I missed it. As a guitar slinger I'm very jealous of Gibbons. He took my job as a gear head guitar player.

No really I've seen Cadzilla and it is probly one of the coolest cars I've seen. Gibbons has or had a cool old school shoe-box a few years back that was tight.
I'll try to watch it this weekend. I was playing my guitar last night and didn't see anything. Figuars cause I do like Rides.

Yep yep, saw it, pretty good for Rides. You just knew he would pick the Torque-thrust wheels ,he does ad's for American Racing.
She's even in one .(Rodders Journal)

Did you catch the part, when she said, she's been with Billy G for 20 years? Maybe that's how long it took him to sign the pre-nep! She musta been about 10 when they met, or she looks VERY good for her age.

 

That chrome roof paint was supposed to mimic the brushed stainless steel top on those rare 57 or 58 Cadillac Broughms. I thought that would have been one of the highlights of the car but they didn't seem to talk much about it at the end. Would love to see it in person. Onto Gilligan, I thought I heard them say that she's been with Billy Gibbons for 20 years. If that's right, she's looks phenomenal. Love those shots of Cadzilla. It always will be one of the coolest cars ever built.

I have sprayed some with an airbrush, pretty easy to use.

 

That was a great show, til they chose the rims and soundsystem
Have to say that just because of the mix of cars they cover, Rides is a killer show. After all, if i remember right the did get ahold of Ryan a while back...

 

Very cool show. Had to watch it again at 11pm to absorb it all. Got to see that car in person.
