To chop or not to chop???

    IMO the cars of the 40's and 50's are too long to look good chopped. Just my opinion.

    ever see a photo of that car with the door open? he only cut the post and left the door tops. that is a bad example of other options for these cars

    What's really involved in a chop..
    replace the headliner
    cut the glass
    cut the garnish moldings
    modify window regulators for proper function after chop
    remake inner structure on sail panel
    re shape the vent windows
    cut vent window seals
    cut vent window glass
    replace door rubber
    replace window seals

    There is a shit ton of time to do it all complete and correct. I farmed out the chop in my avatar and it took me 2 years to put the side glass or vent windows back in it. leave it alone...
