Yeah I saw someone that was in the club on myspace. Thats something I would be looking for just hanging out, shootin the S#!T and working on cars together.
You are going to hear alot of pros and cons for why you should or should not join a club. The only advice I can offer you is to look at your reasons for why you want to belong, then make your decision.
get an alliance membership and join the best club out there! i have friends in a bunch of clubs, and thats the way i like it. no drama, i get enough of that **** at work...(navy) my car is my hobby, and p***ion. i dont care about jackets, plaques, or pomade. if youre into cars, then you're cool by me! i'm not anti club for anyone else, i just know that it's not for me.
I joined a club becuase I was in a new town and wanted to make new freinds... correction... I wanted to add new friends. I'm still making new friends in or out of the club. Also... Being 38 with a wife and 2 kids. I wanted to hang out with a gruop of guys that were not looking to do the bar thing everynight... and who were cool with BBQ'ing at a car shows with the family in tow. Sometimes it's hard to find a group of people who share your interest beyond just the cars... a club can help with that if they are the right fit for your life.
These post's are too funny.. Guys that won't join a club because of (insert expletive here).. Guys that have had bad club experiences... Guys that are in clubs that don't know why... Guys that get a lot from their clubs... Guys that take a lot from their clubs.. Guys that started their clubs.. Guys that killed their clubs... Love this place.. It takes all kinds to make a H.A.M.B.
I have been hit in the head with a club before, I have been thrown out of a club before. The car club I am in now wont let me out... The only way out is DEATH!!! BE CAREFUL what you get into.
