That car does have history....when I saw it at the Turkey run they had all the info of the car with it, raced at Dragway 42 from 64-67 if memory serves correct, the tag on the nose is from Dragway 42 in Akron when it got squirly and kissed the wall.

I dont remember all the stuff I read, but I would be inclined to restore it to as close to "as raced" as I could...if that meant yeller paint than thats what I would do...

That thing is sweet, I was wishin I had the coin for it when I saw it.

What did you end up getting it for? (just wondering) PM me if you dont wanna throw it out there, I wanna see how good I coulda done had I had cash....hell I didnt think it was a bad deal at the asking price personally.

Your car. Paint it and be one with the paint. Lace allways looks real cool. Thats one we dont see enough of.

never sold it,i had a larger space then i thought,so for giggles i took it out and stuck a price on it,i really did not care if i sold it or not (makes the wife happy to try and sell something,;))

i bought it from the original owners brother,he sold it to him in 1972 after hiting the wall with it,(you saw the original suspension you can understand why, scarry),he had his brother in law convince him to cut out that old straight axle and install a used pinto front end!,of course they threw away the old junk, the control arms stuck out the fenders, then he was getting a divorce from the guys sister and all hell broke loose, sad to say the brother in law started striping the car and hid it outside for a couple years with the engine open,he finally got it back, packed up and moved to florida, stuck it in a barn and forgot about it until about 8 months ago,a 16 year old kid was supossed to buy it but did not have the money,so he put it on craigslist,i happen to spot it 5 minutes after it hit the site at 9;00 PMand called,he told me about THE CAR,HIS ASKING PRICE?$1000.00 OBO !,I TOLD HIM I WOULD BE LEAVING NOW,he lived 2 1/2 hours away,,he had a full fabrication shop, tractor trailer, etc. and raced for a living, ready for this ~lawn mowers~,he holds the record on bonneville for the fastest lawn mower, the fab shop full of mowers, the hauler, yup lawn mowers,i could hardly keep a straight face when he showed me everything, the anglia was in a wooden old shed with all the black widows,,,,the rest is history,,,,,,,,,
