Motion Pictures To Please A Lady

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Stevie G, May 19, 2009.

  1. Clark Gable, Barbara Stanwyck, and some awesome track footage.
Gables character is working his way from Midgets back up to Indy.
It's on TCM right now, not sure when it is on again.
    1950
There is even some Chitwood footage.
    Good stuff.

    Stanwyck's take on Indy:
"It's like the 4th of July, a prize fight, and the world series all rolled into one"

Some pretty cool machine shop footage as well.

i DVR'd this a while back. when i call it up i've got it right on the place where they are showing the closeups of the offy engine and a bunch of other really cool equipment. the movie's the typical stuff from that era, but the machinery that they've got is worth watching it for.
