I just picked up a pair of Cal Custom valve covers, they are bead blasted and in pretty good shape.I just can't decide wether to shine them up or leave them flat. Any thoughts?

I've got finned cal customs on my mopar. I just cleaned them to death, then had them garnet blasted and satin clear coated. they look "as cast" and stay that way.

  10. Is the motor going to be "dressed", you know, lots of spit and polish, then get buffing! If you're going "rat" then throw them in a mud puddle and bolt em up!:D

Personally I don't know why you would want them if you are not going to polish them, but that's just me. I hate painted chrome bumpers too.

i like polished but it takes alot of work{or money if you have someone else do it}i polished mine except inbetween the ribs{painted them amc engine blue}i love the look but i hate trying to keep them clean.bead plasting is alot easier and if they get dirty just do them again!
