Hey Man you guys dont bother me at all. I love to soak this stuff up. That makes sence to me now. Yes I will check the srub line for he components and clearance. I was aware that when you use front mount steering that the opposing wheel has a tendencey to fold when in a turn. I didn't accually know there was a name for this affect. I justmake sure the mount are bent ouward from each other a small amount. I also got the pitman arm "steering box shaft" as close to the rear mount of the radius arm as I could to make bump steer as little as possible. But its still a1" behind it 2" above it.

Paint the hood and side panels to match the car. That should hide the motor perfect!

Here is a few more pics, including the 48 chevy truck steering box. I tried to get it as close as posible to centerline. Again these pics are kind old, I am way farther now. The rods are my motor mount stands, and NO I am not running those brackets on the 2.3 The first pics is when I was mocking up the Ford F1 box, but I think the chevy box looks much more period correct and Is a bolt on for the frame, you can see the clevis as a temp bolt holding it in. I am speed drilling the pitman, this was just a mock up.

In the front suspension, ackerman refers to the "proper" effect of turning the inside wheel sharper, than the outside wheel, in a turn.
You are likely to have reverse ackerman effect, with the tie rod out front of the axle. Search this subject out, and you may find some methods to improve the turning behavior. Second and more importantly, look carefully at the front transverse spring, imagine the main leaf cracking clear thru!
If the center spring perch mount doesn't come down onto the axle...(first), you ain't goin' to steer, since the frame/oil pan or center portion of the main leaf are going to hit pavement. Not a happy camper! Tube shocks might be setup to bottom out first, but there are many ways to design a front end that can safely steer to a stop, w/a broken component.
