me too. I do considered it lazy to make a door not function providing its not being raced on a roundy round.
No Matter How Low The Car Might Be... It Is Still A Pain To Climb In And Out Of It With No Doors.sliding In To The Seat And Getting Around The Sterring Wheel And Shifter Is A Pain In The Ass!
Mine are welded shut. It is a bit of a hassle to climb in - but more so for passengers. So I plan to make that door work somewhere down the road. Speaking from experience, if you can make them work I would invest the time.
I've seen a number of old school "low-boy" roadsters w/welded shut doors. I'd want to have a fat-man style steering wheel, and be able to eventually open the passenger door.
The obvious and traditional answer is that ugly guys welded them shut and guys with chicks made them work.
I can't even imagine how hard it would be to wire a car with welded doors. That's the first thing I thought of when I first saw the Eddy Die roadster.
